NFL Mock Draft | Zach Bohner One Round Mock Draft

By Zach Bohner, NFLDraft101.com

NFL Mock Draft Draft101 logoI have two trades happening in this NFL mock draft – Buffalo trading up with Tampa Bay and Cincinnati trading up with Miami. This mock assumes that Peyton Manning signs with Arizona and Matt Flynn signs with Miami. Any moves that were made after 11 PM March 12 have not been considered.

1

Indianapolis Colts

QB

Andrew Luck #

Stanford

The Colts have wisely decided to move on from the Peyton Manning era. Fans are sad to see him go, but Luck is too good of a prospect to pass on.

2

Washington Redskins

QB

Robert Griffin #

Baylor

Dan Snyder traded away a ton of picks to move up for RGIII. If this pick pays off, the Redskins could finally become relevant again. This is a can’t miss pick to me.

3

Minnesota Vikings

OT

Matt Kalil #

USC

Matt Kalil has to be the pick here, especially with the great pass rushers in the NFC North. He is a dominant left tackle and will have a long, productive career. The Vikings absolutely must protect Christian Ponder better if they expect him to grow into a franchise quarterback.

4

Cleveland Browns

CB

Morris Claiborne #

LSU

The Browns take the best player on the board with this pick. Justin Blackmon is another option here, but I just don’t think the Browns will think he is worth more than Claiborne.

5

Buffalo Bills

WR

Justin Blackmon #

Oklahoma State

TRADE! The Bills move up and send their second round pick to Tampa Bay. I still think this is too early for Blackmon, but the Bills need to do something about their wide receiver corp.

6

St. Louis Rams

DT

Dontari Poe #

Memphis

With the Rams releasing Fred Dobbins and Justin Bannon, DT has become a big need. Poe is a monster and can fill either tackle role in the 43. If Morris Claiborne would fall, he would be the pick here.
